Direct Solution Method
Software for computing synthetic seismograms in spherically symmetric transversely isotropic (TI) media using the Direct Solution Method (DSM)
Project Resources
Project Description
Author: Robert Geller
Consists of the following software:
- tish: program which computes toroidal synthetic seismograms for transversely isotropic, spherically symmetric media.
- tipsv: program which computes spheroidal synthetic seismograms for transversely isotropic, spherically symmetric media.
- spcsac: program which converts frequency domain synthetics computed using the above two programs to SAC format.
- Sotobori: program which makes input files for DSM synthetic seismogram calculation for given 1-D TI Earth model from seed format files.
